I was bored: the puzzle that started it all

It’s hard to talk about Piece & Love without starting with this one. "Je m’ennuyais" is the iconic jigsaw puzzle that launched the brand and sums up its philosophy quite well: take a pastime that’s sometimes seen as a bit old-fashioned, add some graphics, humour and a good dose of cheek, and make people want to put 1,000 pieces back on the table.

Created in collaboration with Parade Studio, "Je m'emmerdais" features a typographic design that is as simple as it is effective. And, naturally, there’s something rather satisfying about spending several hours meticulously piecing together the sentence that explains why we started in the first place.

With its 1,000 pieces and a difficulty rating of 6/10, this jigsaw puzzle offers a genuine chance to switch off. Once completed, its dimensions of 68 × 49 cm and its design also make it an excellent candidate for framing — especially as the message works almost even better when hung on the wall.
