Behind Papier and Co is Lise Mailman

Papier and Co was born out of the graphic universe of Lise Mailman, an art director and designer based in Hossegor. Her work blends illustration, visual identity, typography, and storytelling. Each creation conveys an emotion, a travel memory, or a moment in life, with an instantly recognizable style characterized by bright colors, graphic compositions, and messages that bring a smile to your face.

The sun of the Landes on a sheet of paper

It’s impossible to look at a Papier and Co poster without getting a sense of the atmosphere of the Landes coast. The colors, stripes, cafés, hotels, beaches, travel, and the art of living by the ocean all inspire the collections designed in the Hossegor studio. This sunny identity explains why the brand describes its stationery as “feel-good”: items that bring color and cheer to everyday life.

Choosing Slow Print

At Papier and Co, posters and some stationery items are printed on demand or in very small batches. This approach minimizes unnecessary inventory and overproduction while ensuring high-quality printing. The designs are created in Hossegor and then printed in the Landes region or manufactured in France, depending on the collection. It’s a way to balance creativity with responsibility.

Simple objects, but never ordinary

We love brands that are capable of creating emotion with everyday objects. Papier and Co is a perfect example of this. A poster such as the "It's Gonna Be Alright" poster, can make you smile, a "Crush it Darling" notepad can make you want to take action, and a simple card can become a decorative element. Add to this French manufacturing, sustainable printing, and the work of a passionate designer: these are all reasons why this brand holds an important place at Kiplé in our collection of creative and original stationery.

More than just a stationery store

At Kiplé, we have chosen a selection of creations that accompany the little moments of everyday life: posters to dress up a wall, notebooks to jot down your ideas, notepads that stay on a desk, or cards that sometimes become small posters, perfect as a housewarming gift, why not. Behind every object is the same desire: to bring a bit of color, graphic design, and lightness into everyday life, because as the poster says, Smile Life is A Joke, and it is a superb gift idea for a birthday! And if you enjoy colorful decorative objects, you might also appreciate our collection of Pixel Corner pixel art kits.
