Maison TchinTchin – French candles inspired by the great grape varieties

At Maison TchinTchin, every candle and every diffuser tells a rather special story: that of a wine bottle which doesn’t end up in a glass recycling bin, but becomes the starting point for a scented creation made in France.

Inspired by the great grape varieties and created in collaboration with perfumers from Grasse, each candle invites you to rediscover the joy of tasting a Chardonnay, a rosé or even a Merlot… without ever having to open a bottle.

A Second Life for Bottles

The approach goes beyond just the fragrance.

The containers are made from actual wine bottles collected from restaurants, which are then carefully cut, polished, and transformed into candles or diffusers.

What was originally destined for recycling is thus turned into a decorative item designed to last.

It’s a simple yet clever way to add value to an existing material.

A clean fragrance, right down to its ingredients

Maison TchinTchin is one of those brands that strive to reduce their environmental impact without compromising on quality. The candles are made from soy-based vegetable wax, feature a cotton wick, and contain no CMR substances (carcinogenic, mutagenic, or reprotoxic).

Every component of the product is designed to be recycled or repurposed at the end of its life.

The main environmental impact stems from the cultivation of the soybeans used for the wax and the cotton used for the wick, which allows the brand to focus its efforts where they are truly needed.

A candle that reflects who you are

Maison TchinTchin also offers personalized labels. Whether for a wedding, corporate gift, birthday, or professional event, the candles can be personalized to become a truly memorable keepsake, designed specifically for the occasion.

It’s an original idea that further embodies the brand’s philosophy: creating objects that tell a story.

When a former wine merchant changes careers...

Before setting up Maison TchinTchin, Guillaume worked as a wine merchant in Nice.

As he took part in tasting sessions, one thought kept coming back to him: why shouldn’t the complex aromas of wine exist anywhere other than in a glass?

He therefore decided to collaborate with perfumers in Grasse in order to translate the aromatic notes of the great grape varieties into a range of home fragrances.

The result is astonishing: each creation evokes a world of scents inspired by Chardonnay, Merlot, Sauvignon or Viognier, without seeking to replicate the scent of the wine itself.

Why Kiplé loves Maison Tchintchin

Some brands win us over with their products.

Others with the people who create them.

We met Guillaume long before the Kiplé shop opened, at a time when our project still only existed on paper. I still remember our conversations about entrepreneurship, the emotional rollercoaster that everyone who starts a business goes through, and that shared desire to create something meaningful.

Three years after it first appeared in our shops, Maison TchinTchin has become one of Kiplé’s iconic brands. Not only because our customers love its candles so much, but because they perfectly embody what we strive to uphold: French craftsmanship, original ideas, a responsible approach, and products created by passionate men and women.

A brand that has a story

When you’re giving a gift for a housewarming party, for example, you like it to tell a story. Today, Maison TchinTchin is much more than just a brand of candles.

It’s a different way of talking about wine, French perfumery and the circular economy. A way of showing that an everyday object can be beautiful, useful and meaningful. That is precisely why it has found its place at Kiplé.
